We are a student organization at the University of Chicago Harris School for Public Policy created to foster data skills and analytical expertise among public policy students.
Looking to gain more data skills? Want to share the skills you already have? Fill out a quick survey telling us what you'd like to learn, and whether you can help. We're hoping to put on several data training sessions this year based on your input.
We host a weekly policy hack night at Harris, ideal for beginners who want to learn tools for analyzing policy data and building programs and websites. All students welcome, especially if it's your first time.
We host events featuring people prominent in the data and policy fields in Chicago.
We pair interested policy students with local Chicago organizations that need help collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data.
We organize career events and alumni panels and locate part-time and full-time job opportunities for students at the intersection of data and public policy, both during and after their time in school.
